Nestled on the Connecticut Shoreline, The Nest is part of a cherished family tradition that dates back to 1895, when the Garvin family started Hawk’s Nest Beach. In 2021, Sandy Garvin and her siblings reimagined their family's remaining beach properties, each shaping them according to their own vision. For Sandy, that vision became The Nest.

As an artist born and raised at Hawk’s Nest Beach, Sandy saw beauty and potential in every corner of the shoreline. Her dream was to create warm, comfortable spaces where families could come together and make lasting memories. Though Sandy passed away in 2023, her spirit and creativity live on through her children—Doug, Pat, and Jen—who now carry the torch.

Also raised at Hawk’s Nest Beach, Sandy’s children share a deep connection to this place. With years of experience and heartfelt dedication, they take great pride in welcoming guests and providing unforgettable beach vacations. They've thoughtfully updated the cottages inside and out, blending modern comfort with coastal charm, and continue to enhance the properties year after year.
